Amanda V Troyer

August 31, 1945 — January 31, 2026

Amanda V. Wengerd Troyer, age 80 of the Gatewood Ford community, passed away Saturday January 31, 2026, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born August 31, 1945, to Valentine and Lizzie Wengerd, she married Jacob M. Troyer on December 2, 1971. They were married for 44 years until he passed away on November 18, 2015. Amanda was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.


In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson.

Two sisters.

Four brothers.

And three brothers-in-law.


She is survived by five sons and one daughter: Menno (Esther) of Deer Lodge, TN, Jacob (Amanda) of Knox County, Ohio, Moses (Verba) of Orrville, Ohio, Malinda (Joni) of Gallipolis, Ohio, Valentine (Martha) of Hillside, Colorado, Henry (Barbara) of Fresno, Ohio.

Forty-four grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Two sisters: Lydia Miller of Ashland, Ohio, and Elizabeth Miller of Fredericktown, Ohio.

Four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and step sister-in-law.


The family will receive friends Monday February 2, 2026, at the home of Jacob Troyer, Jr. in Knox County, Ohio. Funeral services will be held, in the Troyer home, Tuesday February 3, 2026, with Bishop Alvin E. Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Troyer Cemetery.
