Anita Sue Oran

Mrs. Anita Sue "Dee Dee" Oran, age 80, of Westel went home to meet her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2026. She was an evangelical Christian and never missed an opportunity to tell you about Jesus. Her first words after meeting you were "Are you a Christian?" She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she worked numerous jobs over the years as a Custodian, Kitchen Hostess, and a teacher, but her most proud position was working in the nursery which she held for 40 plus years. All her "babies" affectionately called her "Mamaw Dee Dee." 

She lived her life as a true servant of God, whether climbing on a roof in the middle of the night to fix a neighbor's shingles (in the rain), to preparing food baskets for "down on their luck neighbors" and providing presents during Christmas to less fortunate people. She was the hand and feet of Christ.

She preceded in death by her parents: Paul & Eva Galyon.

Son: Jason Oran.

Two brothers: Al Galyon and Denny Galyon.

Two sisters: Sissie Galyon and Gena Taylor.

 She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 60 years: Gary Oran.

Two daughters & son-in-law: Beth Oran and Kristy & Matt Black

Grandchildren: Jacob & Gabby, Rachel & Adam, Allie & Calvin, Joshua & Lacey, Caleb & Maddie.

Great-grandchildren: Annalee, Jake, Adysan, Braleigh, Casen, Brinley, Violet, Cooper, Hadley, Porter, Jas, and Bryson.

Per her wishes there will be no services, but a scheduled celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those that wish may give a donation in her memory to St. Judes. And to carry on her mission, tell others about Jesus and help a neighbor. And as always when you leave, tell others "God Bless You," as she never hesitated to do.
