Brenda Parks

September 7, 1948 — July 21, 2025

Ms. Brenda Sue Potter Parks, age 76, went to sleep at her home in Shady Grove, TN on the night of July 20, 2025, and woke up in the arms of her Savior. Brenda was born on September 7, 1948, to Owen Solomon Potter and Edith Wilma Potter at their home in Shady Grove, TN. From that day forward, she and her twin sister, Linda, were inseparable-cherished by all as "The Potter Twins," a name that came to represent not only their shared beginnings but a lifelong bond of love, laughter, and unwavering friendship. Brenda attended grade school at Lancing Elementary school and graduated from Wartburg Central High School in 1966. A natural-born social butterfly, Brenda loved meeting new people and making new friends as a top seller for Home Interiors. A devoted mother - and provider for her family - Brenda served as a rural route mail carrier for the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2003 with 32 years of service. After her retirement, Brenda has filled her life with the things that brought her the most joy - family, friends, maple nut goodies, and the color purple. She always enjoyed her time visiting with her friends as an active member of the Wartburg Senior Citizens Center. You could always find her in the center of it all - bringing the sass with her, making people laugh everywhere she went, and taking every opportunity to tell you about her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies. Within her family, Brenda's love was fully and faithfully expressed. She was a daughter, sister, Momma, Bimmie, Grandmom, and Granny. Each title brought her fullness of joy and pride - leaving no doubt of her love for her family.

Brenda is proceeded in death by her parents - Owen Solomon Potter and Edith Wilma Potter, brother- Larry Douglas Potter, infant sister - Ruby June Potter, and her infant twin children which she carried with love and now meets in Glory.
