Mrs. Carol Ann Hamby Peters, age 78 of Crossville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday March 31, 2026. She was a member of Delashmitt Road Baptist Church. Carol was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She was proceeded in death by her husband: Jim Peters.

One son: Gayson Peters.

Great grandson: Waylon Lammel.

Her parents: Carl and Ollie Ellis Hamby.

Two sisters: Helen Diden and Geraldine Hamby.

Three brothers: Tony, Vernon and Robert Hamby.

And two sisters-in-law: Collen Hamby and Joann Hamby.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Derrick and Krista Peters.

Five grandchildren: Hayden Peters, Zoe Dugger, Elijah Phillips, Sophie Peters, Marshall Lammel and his wife, Audrey.

One great grandson: Tanner Lammel.

Two brothers and one sister-in-law: Leland Hamby, Truman and Sharon Hamby.

Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Carla and Jerry Landrum, Donna and Dean Swint.

One brother-in-law: Dale Diden.

Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Friday April 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 with Bro. Tim Hamby and Bro. Brandon Peters officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday morning at 11:00 AM in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN for graveside services.
