Cathy Cofer, age 67, of Harriman, departed this life to be with the Lord on June 11, 2026, at her home.
Cathy was born to the late Edward and Edna Presswood. She attended the Harriman City School System and was a lifelong member of the community she loved. For many years, she owned and operated the Roadside Cafe, where she became known for her hard work, kindness, and dedication to serving others before retiring.
A faithful lifelong member of Emory Gap Independent Church of God, Cathy's faith was the foundation of her life. She possessed a giving servant's heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love touched countless lives.
Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved more than life itself.
She preceded in death by her husband: Harold "Tony" Cofer.
Parents: Edward & Edna Presswood.
Daughter: Makenzie Cofer
Brothers: Edward "Buddy" Presswood, Lee Roy Presswood and Rufus Presswood.
Sister: Ruth Ann Ausburn
Sisters-in-law: Mildred Presswood and Sue Presswood;
Brother-in-law: Stanley Ausburn;
Nieces: Lisa Presswood and Angel Presswood.
Nephews: Alvis Presswood, Johnny Presswood, Dale Presswood, Mike Presswood, Jason Mullins, and William Kracht III.
She is survived by her daughters: Misty Presswood and April & husband Denard Bertram.
Sister: Janice & husband Steve Mullins.
Grandchildren: CJ & wife Hailee Ausburn, Asia Bazel, Maleah Moore, Braxton Bertram, Isaiah Bertram, and Adasha Roberts.
Great-grandchildren: River Ausburn, Se'Kari Porter, and Zhymier Burum.
Special friends: Gail Terry and Mary Ray.
Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cathy leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, selflessness, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

The family will receive friends Monday June 15, 2026, at Emory Gap Independent Church of God from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 with Bro. George Mills and Pastor James Pressley officiating. Graveside services will follow in Willard Park Cemetery.
