Charles Benjamin McCarroll

Mr. Charles B. McCarroll, age 85, of Harriman went home to be with the Lord Wednesday October 10, 2020 at River Grove Health and Rehabilitation. Charlie was a recognized and highly-regarded old-time fiddler, known all over the area for his ability through performances and recordings.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Fannie Mae Pickard McCarroll.

His parents: Jim and Lydia McCarroll.

Five brothers: Frank, Raymond, Tom, Arthur and Virgil.

Two sisters: Grace Carter and Mary Stedham

One step-daughter: Charlene Wright.

Three nieces: Frances Made, Leona Van Winkle and Debra McCarroll.

And two nephews: George Stedham and Tim McCarroll

He is survived by one step-daughter: Sue Fike of Ft. Payne, AL.

One step-son: David Hill of Coalfield.

Seven nieces: Carrie Wells, Mary Bush, Patricia McCarroll-Funk, Sandra McCarroll-Hueffman, Linda McCarroll-Pitts, Donna McCarroll and special niece, Tammie McCarroll-Burroughs.

Two nephews: Rev. John McCarroll and Hugh Carter

Two step-grandchildren: Sidney “Sid” Northrup and Vince Northrup.

And a host of other friends and loved ones.

Family and friends will meet at 1:00 PM Saturday October 10, 2020 at Swan Pond Cemetery for graveside services.
