Colleen Michele Kirby

Ms. Colleen Kirby, age 64 of Rockwood, formally of Centre, AL passed away July 25, 2026, at her home. She cherished the moments spent with her family, particularly playing pranks that brought laughter and joy to their gatherings. Colleen found immense happiness in crafting and engaging in board games with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. She also shared a special bond with her loyal dog, Benji, who was her faithful companion through thick and thin.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James & Juneen Kirby

Two brothers: Allen Kirby and Randy Dishman.

Two sisters: Lisa Kirby and Frances McGatha.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Daniel & Brandi Shelton.

Two daughters: Amanda Gail Meadows & Jason Hughes, and April Shelton.

Brothers & sisters-in-law: Nick & Robin Kirby, James & Dee Dee Kirby, and Russell Smith.

Sister & brother-in-law: Tammy & Gene McCarter.

Eight grandchildren: Izac, Ethan, Dakota, Alivia, Chayton, Candon, Kyrie, and Kaleb.

And many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
