Connie Sue Achenbach

Mrs. Connie Sue Long Achenbach, daughter of the late Robert Dean Long and Emma Lucille Cook Long, weas born on December 5, 1943, in Kokomo, Indiana. At the age of 11 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and surrendered her life to Him. She attended school in Miani County, Indiana until moving to Michigan at the age of 12. She graduated from High School in Cass City, Michigan in 1962.

After graduation, she moved back to Kokomo, Indiana and started work at Declo Radio. There she met Robert Earl Achenbach and married him on June 5, 1965. In 1967, they moved to Chicago and took night classes at Moody Bible Institute. In 1968, they moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music. She graduated as a valedictorian of her 1971 class.

After graduation, Bob and Connie moved to Tennessee where they served the Lord at Cedine Ministries Bible Camp in Spring City, the Trinity Baptist church in Harriman. She loved taking care of her family and her flowers. She was surrounded by her children when she took her last earthy breath on March 24, 2026, and woke up in Glory.

She was predeceased by her husband: Robert "Bob" Achenbach.

Parents: Robert & Emma Long.

Brother: James Long.

She is survived by two sons & daughter-in-law: Jimmy & Tracey Achenbach and Jeff Achenbach.

Two daughters & son-in-law: Debra & John Keller and Angela Achenbach.

Brother & sister-in-law: Ron & Jennifer Long.

Grandchildren: Hans Keller and Emma Keller.

Uncle: Mason & Jewell Cook.

And many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 28, 2026, at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood for graveside services.
