Dorothy ("Dot") Marie Brown, beloved mother and grandmother, was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2026, at the age of 91 as she was surrounded by her loving family and friends at Roane Memorial Hospital.
As an active charter member of Lee Village Baptist Church for 50+ years, Dot found joy in serving others, happiness in lasting friendships, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life.
Dot will be remembered as someone who dearly loved her family and friends, which was displayed in everything she did. She showered those she loved through her cooking, sewing and praying. As someone whose hands were never still, she could also be found coloring pictures and reading her bible in her quiet time.
Those in the community may remember her as she worked for several years at both Shoney's and Cracker Barrell before retiring from Harriman High School and Harriman Middle School cafeterias. For many years, Dot also ran and operated a catering business with her dear friend, Dot Jenkins.
