Douglas Dwaine Inselmann

Douglas Dwaine Inselmann, was born on November 18, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the eldest son of Dwaine & June (Ehlers) Inselmann. Doug graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1982 and then joined the Marine Corp, He lifelong dream. After Boot Camp, he was in Millington, TN for Avionics and then was stationed at Camp Pendleton where he forged lifelong friendships. On June 9th, 1984, he married his high school sweetie, Paula Ann Baumgartner. They shared 42 years of marriage and two sons, Daniel Douglas and Zachary Taylor. In 2006 Doug started working at 3M in Hutchinson and he loved it, Doug and Paula retired together September 1st s 2021. In 2024 they moved to Tennessee and enjoyed every minute.

Doug loved to garden, and create things in the kitchen, always making tasty treats for Paula. He was a joker, prankster, and a storyteller.

Doug was a lover of people and treasured his friendships, he was loyal and always there for the ones he loved. He was a Legion Member and on the Rifle Squad in Hutchinson and in Tennessee. He felt strong about giving fellow Veterans the sendoff they deserved.

Doug passed away on September 8, 2026, after a brief illness at Roane Medical Center at the age of 62. Blessed be his memory.

Doug is survived by his wife: Paula.

Two sons: Dan & Heather of Ankeny, IA and Zack of Harriman, TN.

Brother: Dale & Michel Inselmann.

Nephews: Jacob and Caleb.

Brother-in-law: Dean & Viki Baumgartner.

Niece: Nekoe Baumgartner.

And aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents: Dwaine & June Inselmann.

Father-in-law & mother-in-law: Paul & Linda Baumgartner.

Nephew: Korbin Baumgartner.

The family will have a service in Minnesota at a later date.
