Grace "Granny" Bass

Mrs. Grace "Granny" Bass, age 90 of Harriman, passed away Saturday June 18, 2011 at the Breakbill Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 51 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Doke Bass. And one son: Philip Wayne Bass. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dwight and Joyce Bass. Six grandchildren: Denicia Thornton, Tia Mashburn, Christopher Bass, Melanie B. Dillon, Sherry Neal and Daryl Farmer. And eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday June 20, 2011 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at South Harriman Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Bro. Kenny Isham officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM in Roane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
