Irene Gibson Rose

Mrs. Irene Gibson Rose, age 78, of Harriman, passed away Thursday evening May 27, 2010 at Harriman Care & Rehab Center. She retired from Roane Hosiery. Irene was a charter member of Harriman Baptist Tabernacle. She loved spending time with her grand children. She was preceded in death by parents, one sister and four brothers. She is survived by her husband: Albert Rose Two daughters and sons-in-law: Rita Larry Seay of Greenville and Debra and Stevan Currier of Harriman. One brother: Alvin Gibson also of Harriman. Three granddaughters: Lori Henry of Niota, Kim Clower of Kingston and Tammy Harvey of Harriman. Five great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Sunday May 30, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Harriman Baptist Tabernacle, Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. James Jones, Rev. Ed Pardon and Bro. Jeff Parrott officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM in Roane Memorial Gardens. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Strike and Dr. Mary Misischia and all the staff at Thompson Cancer Center.
