He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Henrietta Collett. Four brothers: Shot, Maynard, Hoover and Bill. And four sisters: Stella Mae, Novella, Libby and Betty June.
He is survived by his companion of 23 years: Carolyn Sims. One son: Allen Sims. One daughter: Jackie Gibson Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two sisters: Patricia Collett and Mary Davis. As well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
