James Monroe Nelson

Mr. James M. Nelson age 80, of Harriman, passed away Thursday January 15, 2015 at his home. James worked at the Hosiery Mill here in Harriman before he retired after 40 plus years. He loved his dog, Gracie, and loved to farm. James was a loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Violet Marie Nelson Parents: Sam and Clara Nelson Two sisters: Marie Reeder and Clode Rose And two brothers: Harrison Nelson and Everett Nelson.

He is survived by one daughter: Kimberly Nelson Mullins Two grandsons: Dylan and Derek Mullins Two brother and sister in laws: Charles and wife Brenda Nelson and Floyd and wife June Nelson Two sisters: Laura Russell and Edna Cox And a host of nieces, nephews, and other family, friends, and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 18, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM. The family will meet in the Roane Memorial Gardens on Monday January 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM for the interment.
