James Maxey Rose II, affectionately known as Jamey, passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on January 10, 1977, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Jamey brought warmth and laughter to everyone he met throughout his life.
Jamey was well-known as a people person, some would even say he was a "talker", whose charm could easily light up a room. Described by friends and family as the best storyteller, he had a way of drawing others into every story he told. Jamey enjoyed many things in life, but he especially enjoyed video games, Fortnite in particular. You can't mention anything about Jamey without mentioning two things, his love for the University of Tennessee athletics and his 1998 Lincoln town car. He was very passionate about the both of them.
Throughout his career, Jamey worked several different jobs. He worked as an officer for the Oliver Springs Police Department for a short stint, then afterwards he worked alongside his father as a bail bondsman. Additionally, he worked for a time at both Brushy Mountain and the Morgan County Correctional Complex. Most recently, he served as a receptionist at the Holiday Inn.
Jamey's love extended deeply to his family. A wonderful family man, he cherished every moment spent with his wife, children and granddaughter, embracing the joys and challenges of family life with an open heart. Jamey’s presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, storytelling, and love for his family will forever remain in their hearts.
