Jeffrey Clifford Cate

Mr. Jeffrey Cate, 59, passed away July 3, 2026, at home, after a Seven-year fight against cancer. During this time, he was able to comfort others as they began their battle/journey, he was a really good listener and took every opportunity to witness about Jesus and try to see others receive salvation. He had a gift to notice people and things that others would not. Jeff had many hobbies that led him to meet many people. He enjoyed setting up at the flea market to discuss Knives, coins and currency. He was an avid fisherman who helped many young children and adults catch their first fish and many times it was their biggest fish. Lately he created walking sticks to give away, mostly to cancer patients. He enjoyed being a part of the Harriman Lions Club and giving of his time to others. He was a deacon of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

 He is preceded in death by his Father: William Cate.

Brother: David Thomas Cate.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Cate.

Son: Johnathan Cate & fiancé, Samatha Lanning.

Brother & sister-in-law: Allen & Sandy Cate.

Mother: Betty Cate.

Mother-In-Law: Mary Ryan.

Many friends and extended family.

Funeral service will be Sunday July 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Calvery Baptist Church in Harriman with Pastor Will Gough officiating. Graveside services will follow in the church cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers please donate to the Harriman Lions Club or Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
