God called
Mr. John "Hap" Hope "AKA Big Daddy Smoove",
age 53 of Wartburg, to be with Him on Sunday March 3, 2019 at Methodist Center in Oak Ridge. John was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and he also attended the University of Tennessee. He was such a happy man with a gigantic heart who loved everybody. He would always go out of his way to help anyone who needed it and everybody loved him for that. John was also very creative. He had a family that he loved so much. The friends John had were not just his friends they were also a part of his family. "Goodbye" will never be said, instead we'll just say "until we meet again." His smile, laugh, and huge loving heart will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his father: Trewhitt Hope
And his mother in law: Reba Hawn
He is survived by his wife: Rita Hawn Hope of Wartburg
His mother: Mary Hope Crouse of Clinton
One daughter: Heather Hope of Paris, TN
One brother: David Hope and his wife Teresa of Clinton
One sister: Sandra Hope of Oak Ridge
One son in law: Dee and his wife Misty Miller of Wartburg
Two grandsons who were his life and who he loved more than anything: Lil' Dee and Hoyt Miller of Wartburg
His father in law: Marion Hawn of Lancing
Brother in law and his family: Mitch and his wife Tabitha and their children Caleb and Charlee Ann Hawn of Sunbright
And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 6, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mitch Hawn officiating. The interment will be immediately following the funeral service in the Potters Chapel Cemetery in Lancing.
