Mary Edna Sumner

Mrs. Mary Edna Hall Sumner, age 91, a native of Morgan County, went to be with the Lord Sunday November 23, 2014. She was a servant of the Lord for many years. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, and she was an accomplished seamstress. Mrs. Sumner was very devoted to her family. She loved working as a nurse for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles F. Sumner 1 son: David W. Sumner Parents: Perna McCartt Hall Young and Father Roy H. Hall 2 sisters: Eva Shelly and Iva Melhorn And 1 brother: Roy J. Hall.

She is survived by 1 son: Charles R. "Sonny" Sumner and wife Patty 2 daughters: Peggy Minton and Judy and husband Jimmy Coley 1 brother: Charles Ed Young 1 sister: Shelby Melhorn 5 grandchildren And 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday November 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. James Jones officiating. The Interment will be Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Roane Memorial Gardens.
