Rose Marie Hurtt

Feb 8, 1947 — Sep 2, 2026

Mrs. Rose "Jeanie" Hurtt, age 79 of Deer Lodge, passed away Wednesday September 2, 2026, at her home with her family by her side. Nana's greatest love was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren with every piece of her heart. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her babies, and being a nana was the greatest joy of her life. Jeanie loved the Lord, taking care of her home, and baking in the kitchen. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Although saying goodbye to her is something none of us were ready for, we are thankful for every memory, laugh, every hug, and every moment we were blessed to have her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Glenn Hurtt.

An infant daughter: Julia Hurtt.

Her brother: Donald and wife Ann Adkins.

Her sisters: Mona and husband Darrell Strand, Alice McCartt, Doris and husband Albert Ryon.

And one nephew: Marty Strand.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Angie and Rodney Byrd.

Her son and daughter-in-law: Trevor and Katrina Hurtt.

Five grandchildren: Tyler Byrd, Haley Duncan and her husband Noah, Hannah Dial, Tanner Byrd, and Hayden Hurtt.

Four great grandchildren: Allison Byrd, Kashton, Kinley, and Kamden Duncan, and Jonah Dial.

Two brothers-in-law: Herb McCartt and David McCartt.

Her sister-in-law: Bonnie Thornton.

Three nieces: Sandra Ryon, Karen and husband Merrill Karlen, Vickie and husband Rick Faris.

And her nephew: Troy and wife Kaye McCartt.
