Tony Austin Duncan

Mr. Tony A Duncan, age 81 of Wartburg, formerly of Fentress County, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016 at his home. Tony graduated from of York Institute. He was former city recorder and judge in Jamestown. He later moved to Erwin, TN to manage Unicoi County Gas System. After the death of his father he moved to Wartburg to run the family business, Duncan Department Store and Western Discount Store. He was appointed juvenile judge and county executive, then was elected Morgan County Executive. After retirement, he open Save-A-Lot Store in Wartburg and served on the board at Plateau Utility. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hooper B. and Ina Moles Duncan. Two Sons: Robert A. Duncan and Michael L. Duncan. And one Brother: Stoney Duncan. He is survived by his Wife: Rita Tipton Duncan. One Daughter and Son-in-law: April and Joe Lester. Five Grandsons: Brandon C. Duncan, Joshua A. Duncan, Joseph Lester, Patrick Lester and Aaron Williams. Three Granddaughters: Meredith Duncan, Sarah and Jessica Williams. And one Daughter-in-law: Angie Duncan The family will receive friends Tuesday November 22, 2016, from 5-8pm at Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral Service will be at 8:00pm with Bro. Charlie Lambert officiating. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 11:00am CST in Waters Cemetery in Jamestown, TN.
