Mrs. Verna Maxine Monroe
, age 97 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gilbert Monroe.
And her parents: Ray and Mayme Marlow Jeffries.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Gil and Marta Monroe.
Two daughters and a son-in-law: Dr. Judith Ann Monroe and her husband Dr. Bob Lubitz, and Janet Sue Nell.
Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A private interment will be held in Lawrence, Kentucky.
Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg, honored to be serving the Monroe family.
