Obituary

Mr. Conley Hamby, age 90 of Wartburg, passed away Thursday December 31, 2020 at his home. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mossy Grove. Conley was honored to be the very first winner of the Citizens Bank “Citizen of the Week” Award. He retired from Kaysor-Roth Mill in Harriman and then went on to retire from the Morgan County School System.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Helen Hamby.

One sister: Aileen Hooks.

And one brother: Lons Hamby.

He is survived by two sons: Charles and Justin Hamby both of Wartburg.

Two daughters: Teresa Chambley of Columbia and Lisa Lee of Wartburg.

One sister: Ann Howard of Soddy Daisy.

Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday January 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Randall Landrum officiating. Interment will follow in Elizabeth Cemetery.
